It was a busy Friday afternoon in January! I called Hannah upstairs to pack her bags for a sleepover. She also a birthday party to go to. Madison had something as well . “Piper, Piper c'mon inside" (our white 18 lbs. Schnauzer) was too busy! I went outside to hear a funny squeaky noise. She was nowhere to be found. I went back inside to call up to Madison and Hannah to come downstairs. "Hannah get your overnight bag packed! C'mon, already!"
Finally, a few minutes later Piper strolls back into the kitchen and Lo and Behold drops a little 2 inch DEAD BABY BUNNY that she so proudly caught and killed to show me with her tail wagging in braggadocio! The girls cried, and said what are you going to do! So, I replied. "You have to take Piper on walks more frequently . . . That way this doesn't happen again" Long story short. There have been more bunny sightings in our backyard since then (bunnys do Multiply). So, that's the good news! After Piper's kill, the girls learned that you just can't turn Cujo loose all the time in the backyard. Actually, have to walk her on a regular basis.
