Chanukah

This is Madi's 2nd Chanukah and we are having so much fun playing with lots of toys. Mommy got Madison an art easel that she loves to play with. Baby Alive is kind of scary: it poops and pees. We don't need to be cleaning up after TWO babies. We are going to have such a fun time with all our friends for Chanukah. We will see Danit and eat lots of latkes and light the candles.

Halloween on Saturday

We are dressing up as the Bee Family. We are going to have such a fun weekend with Zeidy in town from Pittsburgh. We will see grandpa and grandma and Aunt Jennifer and Uncle Mike are so excited to see Madi in her Bee costume. It will be really fun trick or treating with the neighborhood kids on Forest Glen.

new words

Madison is saying so many new words. Besides the usual momma, dada, dog; the cat says "Meow", the cow says "Moo" the sheep says "Baa" and three singing pigs say "LALALA". Madi knows where her nose, eyes, ears, mouth, teeth, shoulders are. We are having lots and lots of fun.

We met a lot of new people at our housewarming party on Saturday. It was lots of fun meeting lots of new friends and seeing lots of old friends. Mommy ordered lots of pizzas so I think that we will start getting tired of pizzas really soon. We did have about 35 people at our house and it was drizzling so we didn't go swimming; but, we had lots of fun playing games in my gameroom.

Madison just learned to walk. She is all over the place. I am chasing her all the time now. I turn my head for one second and she is in the other room. Madison loves playing with her friends and she is learning to share. She is so sweet and never hits the other kids, sometimes they hit her though. Monday morning we have a play group, Tuesday gymboree, wednesday library time, thursday children museum, and Friday roller rink. I have to keep Madison very busy or she will get bored.

Madison is now 14 months old and she is standing by herself. She took her first step at gymboree and then she fell down. I think she will defintely be walking in the next couple of weeks. We put our house on the market and we are about to purchase a new house. Hopefully everything goes well and we close on July 1st. Madison will be going to school where mommy went to school which is Memorial Drive Elementary. Mommy has so much packing to do. Gotta go.

Madison is now almost 14 months old. She is standing by herself and about to walk. She can walk if you are holding her fingers. She also loves to push her grocery cart. Madison has two teeth and a few more are coming in. Tomorrow mommy is going to New York and leaving Maddie for the first time. Daddy is going to take care of her while mommy is gone. Aunt Erin's boyfriend, Chris is coming to visit daddy this weekend, we are looking forward to seeing him. Madison is growing up so fast and she is really good at sharing. She loves going swimming with daddy. She can put her head in the water and blow bubbles. Madison loves going to library, gymboree, fundamentally music and play time with her friends. She is such a sweet little girl. I will write more later, signing off.

Madison is cruising and so close to walking. She now has one tooth and getting another one very soon. She is getting so big and loves to talk. She says a lot of words, her new word is dawg which stands for doggy. On April 19th mommy turns thirty, oh my gosh. Madison has been very busy these days from gymboree to music class to the library. On Friday's we meet with friends in the mornings. Madison also loves going to the zoo and the children's museum. Tonight is the first night of passover. This is Madison's second seder. Her first seder was when she was a month old. Unfortunately she is still to young to read the four questions. She will probably enjoying looking for the afikoman with the help of mommy. The seder tonight is at aunt Jean's house and then tomorrow night we are having a seder at grandma Joan's house. Gotta go and will write more later.

1 YEARS OLD TODAY!!!!!!!!

I am so happy for my little (BIG) girl! She turned one year old today! Mommy and daddy woke up and sang her happy birthday and we have a big birthday celebration all day long!! I am so proud and she is such a wonderful girl! HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MADISON HALEY SMOOKE!!!!

1 week away from 1st birthday!!!!!

It is really amazing how time flies! We are getting more and more excited for the big day! Maddie is SOOOOOOOOOOO BIG! She is cutting her first tooth and, of course, daddy, the dentist is so proud of her! Mommy is very busy making preparations for the birthday party next Sunday, which will be at our house. We are having fundamentally music come to our house to have singing and games and activities for all the 1 year old babies. Mommy is getting ready for lots of food and fun.

1 month and 1 day away from 1st birthday!!!

Mommy and Daddy are getting so excited for Madison's 1st Birthday, March 24th!! I can't believe it is almost here! This past year has flown by so quickly!! It is amazing. Madison is growing up so fast. She is getting very good at walking in her walker. I predict she will be walking on her own very soon. . . and then, we won't be able to keep up with her! Her hair is getting longer and prettier and it definitely has a tinge of red in its blondness. She had such a fun time playing this weekend with her friends in Sugarland and Galveston.

Daddie is having a fun time with Aunt Erin snow shoeing in Vail. Aunt Erin has such a cool pad in the heart of Lionshead in Vail village. I can't believe we are up so high at 12,000 feet. I have been drinking soooooooo much water. It has such a great view of the mountain. The mountain is so amazing and hopefully we will get a lot of snow tomorrow. There is also a lot of great things to do in the summer. Hopefully, mommie and maddie and I will get back here real soon and have another fun adventure in Vail with Aunt Erin and Chris. Well, it was quite a workout and we are happy to relax the rest of the night.

We had a very exciting past few weeks: 1. Chanukah 08 and New Years 09 2. Disney World and Amanda Marzina's wedding in Florida 3. Daddy's trip to Pittsburgh for the AFC Championship

1. We had a Chanukah party at our house with Grandma Joan and Grandpa David and Aunt Jennifer, Aunt Jean and Aunt Carol. Madison got lots of very cool presents. We spent New Years at Brody's house with Dory and Jethro. It was so fun because we watched fireworks outside and had so much fun playing with our friends. It was Madison's first New Years and it was so fun!!

2. The next week, we went on vacation for Amanda's wedding in Florida. It was so much fun because daddy and mommy took us to Disney world. We went on Its a Small World After All, the Carousel, the Snow White Scary Forest, Winnie the Pooh, and Daddy went on the Space Mountain. We saw a great fireworks show. We met Tinkerbell, Bluemist and Aurora, the fairies in fairyland and Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, Cinderella and Belle, the princesses. Madison got a kiss on the cheek from Snow White and we got a good picture of it and the lipstick mark from it.
It was so good to see all daddy's family except Zeidy was in Pittsburgh with the Steelers. We saw Grammy Kerry, Uncle Eric, Aunt Molly, Zeidy Allen, Aunt's Fay, Sylvia, Betty and Uncle Jerry. We saw lots of cousins, Carrie, Fern and Susie. It was so nice meeting everyone

3. It was the longest time I spent from Madison, 2 days. Although, I had a lot of fun for the AFC Championship where the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens to go to the Super Bowl against the Arizona Cardinals. I had back lockerroom passes and had so much fun meeting Casey Hampton, Keiaron Fox, Orpheus Roye, Jeff Reed, Anthony Madison, Willie Parker, Troy Polamolu, Matt Spaeth. It was so great with all the 65,000 fans and what a great moment when Troy Polamulu got the interception to win the game.
